The city of Riobamba is situated in the middle of Ecuador, it is a central point on the tourist trail between the north and south of the country, as well as the coastal and Amazon regions of Ecuador.

The most beautiful mountains of Ecuador can be seen around Riobamba, forming a spectacular landscape in our Andean region.

• Chimborazo, the tallest mountain in Ecuador (6.310 m).
• Carihuairazo (5.020 m).
• Igualata over 4.000 m.
• Tungurahua (5.087 m).
• Altar (5.404 m), with its rocky, icy peaks.
• The Cubillines (4.711 m).
• Quillimas (4.680 m).
• Sangay (5.320 m) the most active volcano in Ecuador.
• Soroche (4.750 m) and Achipungu (4.650 Mts.), these two are located around the mystical Ozogoche Lake.

The majesty and beauty of the Andean Mountains with their great richness in flora and fauna, are the refuge of the diverse ecosystems of our region.

The Chimborazo Province also offers archaeological remains from the pre-Columbian era and Spanish period, such as the Puruhua culture, the ancient city of Riobamba and Incan trails.
